Icy Strait Point is Alaska's only privately owned cruise port - built around a restored 1912 salmon cannery and owned by the Huna Totem Corporation, with many local Tlingit shareholders from Hoonah, Alaska's largest Native village. It's also one of the most reliable spots in Southeast Alaska to see humpback whales, and home to the World's Largest ZipRider.

Six side-by-side cables running 5,330 feet down Hoonah Mountain with a 1,330-foot vertical drop - riders hit speeds over 60 mph on the way down.
Whale Watching
Icy Strait has some of the most reliable whale-sighting rates in Southeast Alaska - prime season runs late May through early September, peaking in July and August.
Cannery Museum
A restored 1912 salmon cannery - the Hoonah Packing Company - now a museum showing how salmon was processed and canned in the early 20th century.
